Fruit of the considerable work of a couple passionate about wine, Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud, Chateau Valandraud was born in 1991 on a 0.6 ha plot purchased with all the couple's savings.
The geographical location of this plot, in the Fongaban valley, near Pavie Macquin and La Clotte, is the origin of the name "Valandraud": Val (for valley) + Andraud (surname of Murielle which appears in the registers of Saint Emilion from 1459).

Enter the domain of Chateau Valandraud and enjoy an exceptional setting in the heart of the Saint-Emilion vineyards. The former Saint-Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classé cellar has been transformed into a bright 223m2 reception area with a panoramic view of the vineyards.
A place with a unique atmosphere, created by two lovers, Murielle Andraud and Jean-Luc Thunevin thirty years ago and which occupies a special place in the local wine-growing landscape, traditionalist and conventional. The unusual couple amazes. The extraordinary saga that these two UFOs write in Saint Etienne de Lisse upsets and the words cheeky, out of the ordinary or even Bad Boy are set up as true red threads of their epic.
The place smacks of transgression and the Rock'n Roll spirit! The 223m2 room has a cloakroom, access for people with reduced mobility, a terrace and WiFi connection.
